Major League Gaming takes a step in a new direction with their 2010 season keeping Halo as the only shooting title and adding a pair of fighters to the line up.Major League Gaming came out today announcing the first details for their 2010 Pro Circuit.
MLG announced their first two stops on the 2010 Pro Circuit as:
Orlando, FL: April 16-18
Columbus, OH: June 4-6
MLG will of course be anchored by Halo 3 this season, but the big decision came with the league dropping the Gears of War franchise after three years of it being the second game on the circuit behind Halo. League officials emailed all members of the Gears of War 2 Pro Player's Association this morning to inform them that it would not make a return this season stating, "Gears of War had many high points in its tenure with the league, however we faced obstacles that we ultimately were not able to overcome. A number of factors played into this decision including audience numbers, the gameplay itself, and our developer relationship with Epic."
With Gears of War 2 gone, the league was open for another game to fill that spot. MLG decided to take a step in a different direction and go back to their roots, adding Tekken 6 for the Playstation 3, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii. MLG in its infancy had both the Tekken franchise and the Smash Bros. franchise as official games.
As for ever popular Modern Warfare 2, due to the game's lack of decent LAN support, the league decided to continue its online circuit with the series, adding three online events for both the Xbox and the PS3. Both consoles will culminate their seasons with a National Championship at a future pro circuit event.
The MLG PC Circuit is back and hinted at, with the first official event being in Columbus on June 4-6. They did not announce any further details at this time, but will announce the games, prizes and more in the future.

but ok.. GL to SK MW team.
"MLG is also making efforts to add Street Fighter IV to the Pro Circuit, and further announcements will be made if there are any developments on this."
idk why skootz left this out...
also
"MLG will be taking PC gaming to new heights, so stay tuned for further details, including games, prizes and more! "
note the games*
Tekken is boring to watch (not my cup of tea), but Smash is a really bad choice as far as competitive gaming goes.. it is basically a party game.
