ESL have confirmed that Cyrus 'proZaC' Malekani will not be able to compete at the Extreme Masters World Championship. American Brian 'dkt' Flander will take his place. For the past couple of days rumors have been going around that Cyrus 'proZaC' Malekani would not make the trip to CeBit to participate in the Extreme Masters World Championship. The QuakeLive player who is often remembered for his exciting interviews and interesting comments placed second at the Asian Championship Finals earlier this month.
Today those comments were confirmed by ESL, noting that University obligations were the reason he could not attend. Looking for a substitute to take his place ESL contacted the remaining Asian players but none were able make the trip to the Global Finals.
In need of a replacement to fill his spot in Group B, Complexity QuakeLive player Brian 'dkt' Flander has been given the opportunity. After a disappointing 7th/8th finish in Edmonton, Brian will be looking to redeem himself at the finals.
Group B
Tim 'DaHanG' Fogarty
Thomas 'griffin' Wall
