All the preparations for the StarCraft II beta have finally been made. With reports pouring in that Blizzard has sent out the first wave of confirmation emails, it looks as though the public testing phase is ready to begin.

All the preparations for the StarCraft II beta have finally been made. With reports pouring in that Blizzard has sent out the first wave of confirmation emails, it looks as though the public testing phase is ready to begin.After some brief snapshots of the Polish beta forums with missing details and a rough outline, Blizzard Entertainment has finally set things in motion. The final product of the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty forums are now live, but made only available for those who have a beta key after the process will have begun. Stefanie "Xordiah" Gwinner and has taken the liberty to prepare the introductory sticky threads with general information. These include the forum guidelines, the long-awaited StarCraft II beta FAQ, latest news, patch notes and the official welcome.
Testimonies are also coming in that people are receiving the first wave of emails for the confirmed beta release. It cannot be verified for the validity of these claims, as there are several active Battle.net forum posters who make false claims every day. However, this would coincide with the latest developments pointing to an imminent release for the StarCraft II beta. Predictions indicate to the first wave of the beta testing phase beginning either tomorrow or Thursday, (Pacific time). Those posters who claim to have received confirmation emails seem unanimously adament about the concept of the beta beginning on Thursday.
Whether or not these claims about the release dates are valid or not, the time slot for the release remains short, still. By the Pacific time zone's standards, the beta phase has approximately eleven days and seven hours for the time slot. The imminent release will be worldwide and initially available for PCs. Details for Mac support have yet to be discussed.
