i think that a game like tekken or sf should be way more involved in eSports

Well, it would suck to lose the decent US CS teams, but otherwise, who really cares? If we learned anything from GGL and CGS it's that we don't really need America for esports to work. Hell, just look at football ;)

Hope Rapha sticks around though :x

fighting games are already quite established in North America.. it's just that they're really grass roots and not organized in a "traditional esports" sense

Well, if you heard our main argument about CGS, it failed because of the INTERNATIONAL expansion specifically, and the US portion was the best part.

I think that Wheat gets overexcited about SF4 sometimes. (:
I like fighting games too, i always had. I enjoy watching virtua fighter matches once in a while, but i think that they are just too fast. Unlike strategies or even counter-strike they are easy to follow for a man who's not much into professional gaming, yet they're not that entertaining either. From a fan's perspective there's just not much room for emotions.
But who knows.

Maybe i didn't made my point clear.
Let's say if two top counter-strike teams are playing, thens it's likely to be a hell of a 40-minute action with one team dominating the first half, then losing a few key rounds allowing the other team to come back hard and maybe pull the match to the overtimes where things get really hot and every single round is important and every mistake might cost a match for the team. Point being is that this is the shit that makes counter-strike matches exciting to watch, this is the fun. You're not taking your time to watch HLTV just because you want to see a bunch of nice shots.
And what i meant to say is that i don't see how that works with a street fighter match which lasts like a few minutes or so. Couple of hits landed, somebody makes a right move and before you know it the match is already over. You don't even have time to go post a quick comment about how cool the last round was, because you certainly going to miss something.
Well that's just my point of view. Maybe it's actually all there and i just don't see it.

sorry about that, there were a few times where wheat stopped when I thought he wouldn't and I wasn't ready right away with q's, and then there was one point where i completely lost focus on what I was asking and had to scramble with words. Otherwise I think it went pretty well :P
