ImageThe final match in group A would be the most important, the winner moving onto the playoffs. UMX managed to hold off Duskbin in a tight match.

The last match in group play would be the most important for Ultimax Gaming and DuskBin . After both teams lost to WeMade FOX, and beat Xgamers in day one both teams had a record of 1-1. The match started off with a dominant performance by UMX who easily took the first seven rounds. Before round nine, Duskbin decided it would be best to take a timeout and discuss their strategy. It managed to payoff as they would pick up six rounds in a row before halftime.

The match came down to the wire as both teams kept trading rounds near the end of the match. UMX held off the final round and took the victory and will now play in the semi-finals.

Ultimax Gaming 16:14 DuskBin (nuke - 9:6 7:8)

First Half

Duskbin tried to rush upper quickly in the first round, but got picked down UMX who would win the pistol round 1:0. Duskbin would then be forced to save the next two rounds and UMX held their sites with ease 3:0.

The next four rounds were perfectly played by UMX as they held off rush after rush by Duskbin. Trying to boost outside rafters Duskbin would push one member to heaven in round six, but he couldn't land the shot he needed and got killed. UMX would win the first seven rounds and go up 7:0.

Taking a timeout at the end of round eight, Duskbin looked like a new team. Perhaps picking up on a certain weakness of the opposing team they would rush the upper site round after round and UMX could not hold them back. They would
win six rounds in a row and make the match much closer 7:6.

From there UMX would rush radio room from ramp and flank Duskbin to win the last two rounds before half 9:6

Second Half

The second half went back and forth and neither team took a lead larger than two rounds. Duskbin won the first two rounds without any of their players dying, and outplayed UMX in the third round to tie the game 9:9.

Switching their play style every round UMX pushed some rounds, and played very passive in others. Working off opening picks seemed to work well for them, and they often would take one site back off and rotate to the other. After the thirteenth round UMX had the lead 15:13 and it was match point.

With all the pressure on them in the next round, Duskbin couldn't hold the upper site as UMX got the bomb planted. They focused on what was needed and retook the site and defused the bomb 15:14.

Now, the pressure was put on UMX because if the match was tied they would be behind on the points in the group standings and Duskbin would advance. After trading opening kills UMX would move ramp with two members left, and Duskbin had three players in vents. UMX would pick all three of them off and win the game 16:14.
