The favorite to win the IEM Asian Championship, WeMade FOX started the tournament the way they wanted as they beat the Taiwanese team Ultimax Gaming . WeMade Fox used a slow play style and smart decisions on the terrorist side, which allowed them to take the early advantage in the game. They never looked back as they went on to easily win the match.

UMX will need to rebound in their next two matches if they hope to place top two in Group A and move into the playoffs.

WeMade FOX 16:5 Ultimax Gaming (inferno - 12:3 4:2)

First Half

The opening pistol round was played perfectly by WeMade and showed why they are so dominant on the map de_inferno. Walking into the A bombsite nearly untouched they planted the bomb quickly and efficiently and then held the site to take the early lead 1:0.

The first full buy round for UMX was a successful one in round four, but buying deagles in round two was a questionable decision. With a strong hold at the apartments, WMF would send their last two players banana and plant the bomb. Quick rotation from UMX allowed them to take down the enemy quickly and defuse the bomb with time remaining, 3:1 in favor of WMF.

After UMX tied the score at three each, WMF decided enough was enough and went on to win nine rounds in a row until half. Out smarting their opponent and taking amazing shots gave them the large lead at half 12:3.


Second Half

The dominance would continue for the Koreans even after switching to the counter terrorist side. A strong hold at middle in the pistol round would basically end the chance for a come back from UMX.

In the third round UMX would buy guns and win, forcing WMF to save for the fourth round. Tacking on two more rounds the score was now 14:5.

After throwing three grenades up banana it suspicion that solo was behind the box, UMX would end up wasting them. Jumping out shortly after WMF would clean up UMX to take the game to match point. The next round would be no different as WMF continued their dominance and won the match 16:5.
