Zhibo 'Fan Zhibo' Fan rarely looked uncomfortable throughout the entire tournament as he set his sights firmly on the IEM IV World Championship event in Hannover following his demolition of Cyrus 'proZaC' Malekani in three straight maps.

Zhibo 'Fan Zhibo' Fan 3-0 Cyrus 'proZaC' Malekani (dm6: 9-3, t9: 15-5, ztn: 18-7)

proZaC gave Jibo a sharp wake-up call almost instantly on dm6, but never built on the momentum from his early kill which Jibo capitalised on. The Chinese fan favourite continually outplayed the Swede with superior rail and rocket shots and had his timing locked down.

The same trend followed on the final two maps with Jibo keeping on top of the majority of items and weapons, forcing proZaC to work extremely hard to open any opportunity to get back in the game. In the final stages of the third map proZaC began to collect items and hit some good shots but was too far behind to mount a comeback.

Both players have qualified for the World Championship at CeBIT which takes place from March 2 to 6.

IEM Asia Quake Live final standings:

1st: Zhibo 'Fan Zhibo' Fan - $1,750 (+ slot for the World Championship Finals)

3rd: Tahara 'uNleashed' Naonobu - $550
4th: Joe 'Fenda' Fender - $300
