One of the biggest computer festivals in Norway known as The Gathering has announced the official prize pot for their 2010 competition. Featuring a large amount of prize money across seven different games, on two platforms, this event is shaping up to be an exciting one. The event will be hosted at Vikingskipet Olympic Arena in Hamar from March 31st to April 4th.

The Counter Strike tournament was allocated the highest amount of money, just under €10,000 and will be the feature game with sixteen teams in total. Four teams will be invited by the organization, four will qualify from the BYOC, and the remaining eight will earn their spot from the online qualifiers.

The prize purse is as follows:

1. 6.100 € 5 x DreamHack-tickets (850 SEK, total 4250 SEK) + Wildcard to Main Tournament
