With three teams already qualified for the event, Extreme Masters global finals is looking like a great event for SK fans. But when we announced our new team last week we hinted at the opportunity for four teams to attend.

Now that dream has taken one step closer to becoming a reality as ESL have official invited SK Gaming ASIA to the Asian qualifier. The tournament, which starts February 5, will feature the continent's top talent, including last season's world champions. With that in mind, the opportunity for a record-breaking four qualified teams looks difficult.

However, SK recently defeated Button Bashers in the famous The Named tournament. On top of that, the team formerly known as Cohex only need to place top four at the Asian finals in order to qualify for the global finals in Hannover in March. With such an impressive track record under their old tag, the chances of them qualifying under the new one look very good right now.
