Protection warriors are up for some nerfbat loving as 3.3.2 approaches.World of Raids has apparently managed to get hold of some patch notes, translated from Korean. Season eight is officially due to start soon, bringing with it a bunch of new items and a new boss in VOA - Toravon The Ice Watcher. It is important to note that no release date has been mentioned at this stage.
The new patch will also bring some significant changes to the controversial protection warrior. From the blue post:
In previous seasons, these changes would have little-to-no effect on arena play. But as the tank has risen as a force in PvP over recent months many people will be glad to see these changes.
Warlocks, shamans and druids will be on the other end of the scale, with some pretty useful looking buffs. Conflagrate gets yet another change - its DoT effect will now be 40% instead of 20 while improved shadowbolt is also getting a buff, up to a maximum of 10% increased damage when fully talented.
The shaman and druid changes look like they will have a somewhat smaller effect on arenas, however, since they are for elemental and balance specs respectively. Shamans will see a slight increase to 'shamanism' while druids also get a small buff to 'earth and moon' (2/4/6% increased spell damage).

The new patch will also bring some significant changes to the controversial protection warrior. From the blue post:
"- Shield Slam - Damage bonus from block value decreased for players with lower end equipment. Players with high-end equipment will not notice as much of a difference. In addition, threat generated has been increased by 30%.
- Concussion Blow - Damage has been reduced by 50%, but a threat modifier has been added to compensate.
- Devastate - Weapon damage increased to 120% (Up from 100%)
- Warbringer - This talent no longer allows Charge and Intercept to break roots or snares. Intervene remains unaffected."

Last season was annoying against protection warrior team, because Protection warriors was tanking(intervene, shield reflect) in arena with 4 kind of stuns (Shockwave, Concussion Blow, Charge and Intercept) and interrupts. Especially that Warbringer removes roots and snares. Then crazy damage done and really annoying for melee classes.
But arms spec is fine.
did i miss stm? is the next patch really 3.2.2?
as far i remember we've allready passed 3.3
Just like that. 30%. It's impossible to take WoW seriously by the day.
First paladins and now warriors
when will warlocks ever be NERFED!!!!
As for CC i know what you mean but that would just make the class OP. If you are a BE paladin you already have a couple of silences, a couple of stuns and pretty good burst dmg.
Just joking.
