Burnedd wins a depleted Zotac #16

ImageBurnedd just defeated Garpy to claim the 16th Zotac title for QuakeLive.

When a major tournament like Extreme Masters dominates the weekend's action, it's no surprise that a cup like Zotac has a weaker field than usual. Only a handful of top level players entered this week's Zotac cup and it was Adrien 'burnedd' Denis who finished top of the smaller-than-usual pile.

He met Gareth 'GaRpY' Marshall in the final but even the Brit seemed to be taking the game less than seriously. On ZTN he forfeited with less than five minutes played and played well below his usual standard on both DM13 and T9, giving his Belgian opponent an easy 3-0 win. The man from Dignitas was apparently playing on his laptop from the ESL studio and was apparently due to be kicked out at any moment.

Still, Burned could only beat what was put in front of him and that's exactly what he did. His performances on the way to the final were equally impressive, if not more so, and he will be pleased to pick up a tidy €100 in prize money.
