After two days of group play the knockout brackets have been drawn for the IEM IV EU Quake Live finals. Six will qualify for the world finals. The two-day long group play has brought about a number of surprises, including Benjamin 'calipt' Jakob topping his group and Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira failing to advance. The quarter finals, which will be best-of-fives, were drawn live on ESL TV and have thrown together some interesting matches.
Benjamin 'calipt' Jakob vs. Alexei 'Cypher' Yanushevsky
Alessandro 'stermy' Avallone vs. Kevin 'Strenx' Baeza
Anton 'Cooller' Singov vs. Magnus 'fox' Olsson
Marcel 'k1llsen' Paul vs. Maciej 'av3k' Krzykowski
The players who topped their groups are on the left, while the runners-up are on the right. Funnily enough fox brought up in his post-game interview that he'd "rather play k1llsen than Cooller, of course."
Coverage kicks off on ESL TV starting tomorrow at 13:00 CET. Follow the bracket here, via our coverage page.
