The Ongamenet Starleague took a major step forwards as it was reported (in Korean) that the airline Korean Air will sponsor an OSL in 2010. The company explained that StarCraft and the OSLs were popular with the more youthful demographic and this was seen by them as effective marketing. The tournament, called "Korean Air Ongamenet StarLeague 2010", is expected to begin with its prelims on the 4th of February. The finals are likely to be held in the middle of May.

With the recent Ever OSL packing a large crowd at its finals, which saw Flash triumphantly claim his second title, and MSL's recent tournament being sponsored by Nate this seems to be a period of upturn for sponsorship in Korean StarCraft in general.
