With the IEM European Championship Finals less than a week away the German scene sees two of its representative teams making roster moves prior to the event. Team ALTERNATE have added Bastian 'b4d' Gaffron to their lineup in place of Benjamin 'paN' von Mulert, as a permanent signing. The latter is also in the news though as he joins n!faculty 's lineup for the IEM European Finals. With b4d coming from n!faculty this essentially makes it a player swap. n!faculty have also added Thanh Vinh 'ninja' Bui of mystical Lambda to that lineup, though purely on a temporary basis for now.

With star player roman leaving for rivals Mouz there will be a lot of eyes on Alternate to see whether they will fall to the position of one of the weakest teams at the event or not. Meanwhile n!faculty will certainly have a lot to prove as they would not be attending the finals had a Power Gaming player not used net_graph and then the Finns decided not to play the rematch in outrage at the Germans being allowed to use a player who had already qualified as their ringer/stand-in.
