Fnatic Releases DotA Squad

ImageAfter a considerable amount of silence from the DotA section of Fnatic, the powerhouse organization has now given an official statement, citing the departure of their famous team.

During the recent past, the Fnatic DotA squad was showing signs of tension and lack of patriotism for their parent organization, leading to suggest that they were leaving. This would not have been the first time, however, as several months ago, it was falsely reported on their site that the squad was leaving. Not long after, their famous player, Jonathan 'Loda' Berg discussed in his blog how they had not left, but that they were unhappy. Most recently, however, the squad appeared as "Online Kingdom Nirvana.int" at the Alienware DotA League in Beijing, where they were self-sponsored but sent home early. Now, at long last, Fnatic has given an official press release, stating their departure.

Statement from Elroy "Noname" Pinto, General Manager of Fnatic
"It's been coming for a while but we needed to officially release them. We would like to thank the team known as The Last Try for their time and energy spent in FnaticMSI. We had some disagreements but thankfully at the end we can part on a pleasant note. We would like to wish Loda, KwoM & MiSery the best of luck in the future in whatever they chose to do - eSport or in real life.

As for DOTA and FnaticMSI, it seems like we never gel properly. We will keep our options open and not completely pull out of DOTA for now. Maybe in time something will come up."

The Fnatic.DotA squad was one of Europe's finest DotA teams, garnering $15,000 Riot Games Tournament at Gamescom and being neck-and-neck with the Meet Your Makers . Two of the former squad's players, Jonathan 'Loda' Berg and Edvin 'KwoM' Börjesson, were notorious for previously playing for SK Gaming from 2007 to 2009.
