readmore have broken the story that Benjamin 'paN' von Mulert of Team ALTERNATE will play, on loan, for n!faculty in their IEM IV European Championship replay match against Power Gaming which will decide the final spot for the European Finals.

Alternate's manager says that paN leaving the Alternate ESL team account is purely because the rules state a player cannot be a member of two teams at once, not that he will be leaving permanently. paN will compete with Alternate at the European Finals of IEM IV regardless of the result of this replayed game.

The game is being replayed, despite Power winning the first series, due to one of the PowerGaming players having net_graph on, which is not allowed according to the rules. Should n!faculty manage to win the replay Germany would have three representatives for the event which will take place in Cologne, Germany, from the 14th-17th of January.
