SK dominates recent racing tournaments
SK has sped straight to the top in Turn 10 Studio’s latest racing instalment – Forza Motorsport 3.

SK has sped straight to the top in Turn 10 Studio’s latest racing instalment – Forza Motorsport 3.Niklas 'Johnson' Krellenberg, Stefan 'Kenny' Jahr, Tobias 'boMbaY' Hoffmann and Patrick 'Patohm' Weking have each experienced success in the early stages of this competitive title.
The first tournament on offer was the Chip.de Cup. Participation in the final could only be achieved through a top 8 finish in the qualification, which each SK driver gained easily. The final consisted of ten laps around the Spanish track Catalunya, the Sebring track situated in Florida, America and the familiar British F1 track Silverstone, each racer having to drive the DTM-Audi. The end results were:
1. SK Johnson
2. SK Kenny
3. SK boMbay
4. SK Patohm
Johnson won a Microsoft racing wheel and some Forza Motorsport merchandise. The other SK drivers received a year subscription to Xbox Live.
Xtival Events
The Xtival community sites have been actively organising tournaments for Forza 3, each one sponsored by Microsoft. Xboxuser.de Xtival held a tournament recently, where the top racer in each group would advance to the final. The group stages involved eight drivers battling it out over three tracks, and the top racer at the end would go on to the final. SK again dominated the top spots, taking first and second place. Final result:
1. SK boMbay
2. SK Johnson
Xboxworld.ch Xtival held a time-trial event. Over two days, participants had to set a time on five different tracks, each with the Dodge Viper. The five times were added together and the winner would be the quickest overall. The final result was:
1. SK boMbay
2. 2. SK Johnson
3. Rolfu
Amazingly, boMbay finished just 2 tenths ahead of Johnson, with each racer posting the exact same time for the Norschleife track.
Johnson-
Most recently, on the 19th-20th of December, the XCN Forza Motorsport 3 European Championship qualifying took place. SK dominated the German qualification side, snatching the three top positions. Each racer had to drive the Mini Cooper S on Amalfi Coast. The countries best attempted to qualify for this event, but there was no way past the SK boys. The placing’s were:
1. SK Johnson
2. SK boMbay
3. SK Kenny
Johnson finished 0.020 seconds ahead of boMbay, winning a Porsche racing wheel worth €350!
Other achievements include boMbay winning www.forzamotorsportleaguecom opening cup, finishing ahead of Kenny. Also Johnson, Patohm and boMbay reached the semi-finals of the Consols Sports League opening cup.
Although it is early in the first competitive season of Forza 3, SK racers are dominating each tournament they enter. Best of luck to the guys in the future.
