Power Gaming 's perfect group record had them rightly billed for this semi-final game against TyLoo , by those in the know, as favourites and they did not disappoint. The Finns overcame any CT inferno woes they've had the last few months by putting on a defensive clinic, then finished the first map promptly on the other side.

Since inferno had been TyLoo's pick the game then headed to Power's pick of nuke which the Finns again dominated on the CT side, putting up a monster score. As terrorists they let a whole host of rounds get away from them but the mountain was too high to climb for TyLoo who fell and saw the spot in the final go to PowerGaming.

Power Gaming 16:06 TyLoo (inferno)

First half

PowerGaming began securing the CT pistol round, thanks in part to two kills from plastE. They began a run which would see them go up 6:0 unanswered. On the 3rd round TyLoo bought galils and AKs but tihOp was the last man standing and defused the bomb. On the 6th TyLoo got into B and planted but a well timed three man retake saw Power win the round through teamplay. TyLoo got their first round in the 7th at the A bombsite but the game continued to belong to Power.

On the 8th round contE found himself in a 1v2 but was able to win it and defuse the bomb. On the 10th TyLoo made a push into B which forced plastE to retreat into the alley, unfortunately for them tihOp picked the right time to move over and two sprayed colt kills from him hurt the Chinese attack. TyLoo came up for air again in the 11th round as on a poor buy which saw them with galils amongst AKs they managed to get 2v2 with the bomb planted in A. GoodRifle took out the two Power players for his third kill of the round and TyLoo's second round overall.

In the 12th round GoodRifle once more won a 2v2 by killing the last two as ruuit held an AWP near the library area and plastE had pushed around through the apartments but despite good coordinated flashing the Finnish players came out at just the wrong timing to retake the site. Problems with contE's PC then held the game up for 20 minutes, in which time one of the TyLoo players also had a PC problem. When the game got back underway Power took two of three, as TyLoo attacked B, but gave up the final round to make it 11:4.

Second half

Power won the terrorist pistol at B and charged up to a 4:0 lead and map point, the latter coming as a result of two kills from contE and two from naSu in A. A couple of Karl kills at B allowed TyLoo to take the 5th and they followed it up by taking the 6th and holding off the Finns for a short while. On the 7th round though an attack on B saw two naSu kills and Power reach map point to go ahead in the series.


Power Gaming 16:11 TyLoo (nuke)

First half

Power continued to dominate the pistol aspect of the series as they took the CT pistol thanks to a couple of naSu kills getting them into a 2v1. naSu and contE were the Finns still alive and they headed down each vent towards the bomb, which had been planted lower. naSu was killed but contE took out the terrorist and defused the bomb. Power went up 4:0 before TyLoo responded. The 5th had they attack upper and two from alex and xf each saw the round their way. On the 6th TyLoo decided to save three guns while down 3v5 and managed to convert the next round into a win with two kills from GoodRifle.

It was all PowerGaming from there on out as CT. TyLoo attempted to attack outside on the 10th round but a kill from ruuit who had flanked disrupted their attacking rhythm and they ended up timing out the round. In the 14th two kills from plastE had him reach 20-5 on the scoreboard, once again showing the level his individual play has been at for this tournament. Power made their round streak eight as the took the 15th round to go up a staggering 13:2. TyLoo were in big trouble as they switched to the CT side knowing they needed at least 13 to have a chance of evening the series.

Second half

TyLoo finally had a pistol round go their way, two kills from tb contributing. They looked to keep their dreams of a fnatic final alive as they ran off four more to make the game 13:7 overall. A successful win at lower saw Power hit 14 though in the 6th. TyLoo again put together a run as they tore off four to make the game 13:11 Power, suddenly a game with it all to play for. Unfortunately for the Chinese side Power woke up from their lapse and took the rounds they needed to win the map and the series.

Power now head to final to face a fnatic team they thrashed on train but who will be hungry for some revenge.
