Blizzard has claimed that resilience will be easier to come by in the next expansion. With patch 3.3 just around the corner Blizzard has been looking to the future on their official forums. Since the upcoming Icecrown patch is likely to be the last major content update before Cataclysm, people's attention is turning to said expansion.
Ghostcrawler admitted that some mistakes were made at the beginning of WoTLK in regards to the availability of resilience. "Players tended to view the Lich King starter gear as either tedious or a distraction," he said. "At the same time they were able to get high item level weapons from PvE." This begs the question as to whether they will make powerful weapons harder to obtain or resilience easier to obtain.
Luckily, the blue poster had an answer for that too. "We need to make sure players generally aren't stepping into Arenas or BGs without it [300-500 resilience]," he said.
One forum poster wondered if that estimate was somewhat low. Ghostcrawler's response was pretty in-depth:

"I think 1000 is probably the point where you really start to feel like you aren't going to die at any given second. But that's okay as long as it is reasonably attainable. We offer resilience on gear largely as a reward. It's a good milestone when you realize that the gear you have worked to obtain is now keeping you alive. It's comparable to a raid that has trouble on a boss until they get enough of the right gear, at which point they now stand a good chance to beat him. In other words, if we didn't want players to have to work to get resilience, we'd just make it a passive damage reduction aura in Arenas and BGs."

nothing bad with this
That's just my opinion anyways.
dont let the players pay for nothing new
I quit this game like 2 months ago and wont start untill Cataclism for sure if will start at all...but I was playing wow all the time quitting and then coming back (6-7 times for sure now) so do most other ppl too I think..
GRINDING is NOT working!!!
Its completely USELESS timesink which will not make u "upgrade" as a player in ANY way.
The ONLY real way to WORK for gear in WoW is Arena, simply because its the ONLY place in WoW where u get no gear even if u spend all your life playing it UNLESS u realy get decent raitings.
how happy have you been about your first epic mount when you farmed for at least one weak or more?
- really happy and you enjoyed riding around.
how happy have you been about the 5 epics you get the first naxx run?
- not happy at all, cause you did not invest any time ;>
this "timesink" is part of an RPG for me.
We r not talking about PVE once again.
2nd ofc they can be geared full relentless even, if u didnt notice its end of season and y had few monthes to farm wg guests and get t1 weapon GRATZ.
