It was previously reported that after fnatic withdrew from the Arbalet Cup Europe they would replaced by Spirit of Amiga . Now HLTV.org are reporting that the Danish team will not be in attendance due to Rasmus 'FaagaN' Møller Thomsen being unable to secure time off work. No decision has been made on a potential replacement for them.

German team Team ALTERNATE Female will be without Roman 'roman' Ausserdorfer, widely considered to be their star individual player, for the event. Again the reason for the announcement is work commitements leaving the player unable to attend. Alternate will use Kai 'blizker' Lüneburg as his replacement. blizker previously played for Competo and TBH.eSports, where ironically he was a team-mate of roman's.

Alternate's last major international event was a IEM IV Dubai where they scored a victory over fnatic on dust2 before being eliminated in their relegation match against Vitriolic (now known as AGAiN)

SoA were invited to DreamHack Winter as the last direct invite prior to fnatic and made it to the playoffs but were eliminated by compLexity.
