HLTV.org is reporting that WCG silver medalists fnatic will not be attending the Arbalet Cup Europe event which will take place December 4th-6th. They will be replaced by Denmark's Spirit of Amiga .

The Swedes had planned to miss DreamHack Winter but turned up at the last minute, immediately making them favourites in many people's eyes. They cruised through their group but upon reaching the playoffs were eliminted by the Danes of mTw.dk in the quarter-finals in a tight three map affair.

In other news the groups for Arbalet Cup Europe have now been released. The top two teams in each group, which will be played best-of-1, will move onto a best-of-1 double elimination playoff stage.

Since no information has been revelaed about how the groups were drawn one has to wonder if SoA were simply placed in fnatic's spot because if that was the case then fnatic attending would have setup a fairly incredible looking Group of death, D.
