bit1 returns to FireGamers, prd removed

ImageMiBR's captain, Bruno "bit1" Lima, has returned to the FireGamers lineup he left in September. This comes after MiBR released their time with star AWPer cogu having retired for good.

With MiBR having removed their lineup, in the wake of cogu's retirement, their captain Bruno 'bit' Lima has returned to WCG Brazil 2009 champions FireGamers .

bit1 left FireGamers in early September for MiBR, causing some initial drama due to the fact the FireGamers lineup was composed of ex-MiBR players who were united in trying to succeed outside of the organization. This was highlighted by some criticism from nak.

bit1 told the FireGamers website:

"That was a thing of the moment, I have always been friends with them and I think that criticism was overcome a long time ago, even when I was playing for mibr.

I hope we will get good results in 2010, since this was not a good year for Brazilian Counter-Strike, probably the worst since 2006, starting the year doing things right and different from in 2009 is probably the first step."

When bit1 left FireGamers he took Arthur 'prd' Resende's place in MiBr, while prd took the open spot in FireGamers. Now he has rejoined FireGamers he once again displaces prd from a lineup. With bit1's history of successful leadership within MiBR this move should strengthen the FireGamers team, not least due to the experience the players share together.

bit1 was removed from MiBR in late December of 2008 and joined FireGamers to give them a lineup which was the same, but for one player, as the one they had tried to implement as team and would have seen them removing cogu. Management decided against the move and wanted to continue to build around cogu and so the split between the two teams emerged.

FireGamers most recently failed to get out of their group at the WCG due to round difference in a three-way tie with fnatic and wNv.cn. The Brazilians were able to beat fnatic 17:13 on train but wNv.cn's victory over them and then narrow 14:16 loss to the Swedes ended up making all the difference.
