PGS can't stay with H2k in dust2 opener

ImageThe second best Polish team were looking to prove Poland is more than AGAiN but it was H2k who ended up proving they are a cut above mid level competition.

A game which promised to tell much about the Polish scene saw PGS Gaming , arguably the second best Polish team, facing off against H2k Gaming whose only test with their new lineup was their series against the Polish team who won the WCG. Could this group of Polish players hang with some Swedes on the brink of the top tier?

The Poles got an early lead on H2k but it was not to last as the Swedes soon took over the half to rack up a pretty decent lead of their own going into the half. The second half saw the Poles unable to get much going and H2k closed out the game to put a win on the board.

H2k Gaming 16:06 PGS Gaming (dust2 10:5 6:1)

First half

PGS managed to get 3:1 up before it was rudely awoken from its dream start. Back came the Swedes and soon it was a tied game at 3:3. On the 7th round PGS tried a pushed up crossfire in the B tunnels which almost worked as niko had to headshot his own team-mate to kill on PGS player and then the other, jOOLZ, took down two H2k players. The round could not be turned to the Poles' favour though and H2k took it. In fact H2k continued on a rampage and took round after round. zneel was sitting on 13-4 after nine rounds played.

The 11th round saw a 2v2 for H2k which SpawN managed to turn into a round win. With the overall score at 9:3 Poland got on the board again only to see H2k take the next with SpawN winning a 2v2 which had quickly turned into a 1v2. The last round went to PGS as FYRR73 made the round a 2v1 against Drive but the Polish player came up with the goods to send his team into the second half with five rounds.

Second half

Losing the pistol round thanks to two kills a piece from threat and FYRR73 put PGS in a sticky spot and they attempted to buy on the 3rd round but were quickly picked off into a 3v4 situation which then became 1v4 in an instant and then a round loss. 4:0 H2k did relinquish a single round to PGS but that was it for the half. SpawN had a nice three kill round on the 6th after pushing up into B tunnels and three kills from niko sealed the game in the 7th round.
