The American DaHanG has beaten Spart1e, a player who was one of the top 2-3 in QuakeLive early on. A victory on t7 for the third map ended up deciding the series and sending the Swede home. The Swede Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira has been eliminated from DreamHack by the American Tim 'DaHanG' Fogarty. Spart1e was considered one of the top 2-3 in the world after his 2nd at Quakecon and then ESL invitational performance. In the past few months though his stock seems to have been dropping though. Conversely DaHanG has seemed to improve his overall game a little with each tournament and at this event he got the better of the man who beat him in dramatic fashion at Quakecon.
Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira 1:2 Tim 'DaHanG' Fogarty (t9 3:10, dm13 3:2, t7 1:8)
The first map saw DaHanG with strong play and excellent spam and he ran up a solid score. Second map was a nail biter and Spart1e again showed some interesting dm13 decisions but edged out a win. t7 was all DaHanG and the American moves on with a decent notch added to his belt for this event.
