The Icelandic player Eythor 'linkoo' Kristjansson looked like he might be on course to pull an upset after he took the first map, t9, against Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira. linkoo then found himself up 2:0 on t7 but Spart1e came alive to tie the game up. linkoo then took another lead, finding himself at 5:3 before Spart1e made a run in the 8 minute mark allowing him to tie the game up at 5:5 with 40 seconds left.

In control Spart1e decided to delay the red armour so he could ensure he got it and setup traps for linkoo should he go for it. The game headed to overtime. The first overtime came and went with Spart1e still in control but linkoo managing a decent stack from yellows for a player out of control. linkoo ended up killing himself putting the score to 5:4 for Spart1e and then a rail kill from the Swede put it at 6:4 and ggs were exchanged.

The third map was dm13 this time it was all Spart1e all the time as a mistake from linkoo early by falling into the lava led the to the first kill going to the Sweden, which would end up being the first of many. Spart1e played aggressively pushing for kills and by the end had run up 19 frags with linkoo hovering around 1. No upset this time.
