mTw have just won two maps in a row against the local Chinese heros, TyLoo. Both games were extremely close, including one overtime, but mTw were able to keep their heads cool and took the overall win.mTw have just won both maps versus TyLoo , first on inferno and then on train. The Danish teams new additions ,Martin Alexander 'trace' Bang Heldt and Oliver 'minet' Ari Minet, were in great help of the team and proved their worth. mTw will now move on to play versus fnatic at 10:00 CET in the semi-finals.
mTw 16-14 TyLoo ( inferno - 6-9, 10-5 )
First half
It was a very good start for TyLoo who directly started off with a strong aim and fast paced game. They took the pistol and the following 7 rounds despite a good eco attempt from mTw on the 5th round. Xue Feng 'xf' Lai from TyLoo kept making consistently important frag with his controled AK spray. Also to add is some interesting and very precise nading from TyLoo, a big reason as to why they were dominating the first part of the first half. However, TyLoo then suddenly jumped out of shape. After TyLoo was leading the scoreboard 8-1, mTw managed to take TyLoo's loss in shape in their advantage and picked up most of the following rounds. If you're looking at replays, watch the 10th round as mTw perposely lets the terrorist pass through CT spawn and then attack them from both sides (B arch and CT arch/library) leaving TyLoo nowhere to go.
Second half
Same story for TyLoo, they were inconsistent but this time the other way around. TyLoo lacked in the first part of the second half but picked it up in the second. On the other side, mTw were playing in a very steady rhythm and keeping their heads cool. mTw were leading 8-1 and Martin Alexander 'trace' Bang Heldt was enjoying his spot as top fragger, but then TyLoo flipped the game and picked up the pace bringing it to a 9-5 with a very tense 1on1 situation on the last round, which mTw then took and wont the game.
mTw 19-16 TyLoo ( train - 6-9, 9-6, 2-1, 2-0 )
First half
Pretty much the same story as the first map. mTw's composer is simply rock solid, the same steady slow procedures were used on almost every round, and it worked as they take 6 rounds on the first half, losing most rounds due to the Chinese's AWPing and precise long range shots. (Watch Zheng Wei 'alex' Bian).
Second half
Yet again, mTw's nerves are unbreakable. Train seems to be one of Oliver 'minet' Ari Minet's good maps as he takes good first frags in the whole teams advantage. Once again though, TyLoo played great one round and then crack on the next, finding it hard to keep their rythm. This gave mTw the opportunity to take the rounds they needed and lost on the first half. Bringing it to a draw
MR3 Overtime
The overtime is where Oliver 'minet' Ari Minet put his foot down and probably thought to himself "let's get this over with". He played aggressively outside as CT which payed off as he picks 4 important kills in the first 2 rounds. TyLoo wasn't so lucky despite Chao 'GoodRifle' Xue's effort with the awp as he gets 2 men down and a 3rd later on in the attempt to save his gun. Onto the second half of the overtime, mTw speeded up the round and made some fast moves which gave them the match point. TyLoo weren't able to pick up their rythm in time for the second round and gave the overall win to mTw.
