TyLoo shocked the Polish team, who have gold medals from 2006, with a sound thrashing on dust2. Even a mini run by AGAiN at the beginning of the second half couldn't respond to the destruction of the first.Gaming stereotypes are usually fairly tiresome but these Chinese teams are incredible on dust2 as terrorists as TyLoo showed by beating the mighty Polish AGAiN . A dominating first half performance by TyLoo had them completely inside the Poles heads out-thinking them every step of the way tactically. It didn't help that AGAiN's star player Neo was stuck at 5 kills at the end of the half either. The second half saw the Poles make a brief comeback before getting shut out as the Chinese team stormed to a victory and most likely the top seed in the group.
AGAiN 11:19 TyLoo (dust2 - 3:12, 8:7)
First half
After the Polish team began the game 2:0 TyLoo reminded everyone why this team can seemingly beat any elite side when they are on form as they peeled off 7 rounds consecutively. Their first won round came via a 2v1 with the bomb planted where TaZ made it a 1v1 but was killed by xf. In the 6th round there was a situation where the Poles were faked out and TyLoo planted in A but the Polish players made it 3v3 and then one of them went for a defuse without a kit. The Chinese players moved out of their hiding positions and after kills were exchanged it came down to KarL to win the round for the Chinese team from down in the pit.
TyLoo's offensive game was really rolling and there will little the Polish side could do as any aggression on their part was punished by TyLoo attacking together or faking them into rotating. A lone round win by AGAiN in the 10th round was the last they would manage for the half. TyLoo won all the remaining rounds with the final seeing then 3v5 with the bomb planted in B but able to kill all 5 of the AGAiN players.
The Chinese had an interesting tempo to their offensive game as they would setup with players watching everywhere and holding early in the round. Alex would usually be in the B tunnels, GoodRifle watching mid/catwalk and the other pushing long A early to kill Poles pushing up but otherwise also holding. This strategy along with no rushing a site upon getting a kill really made AGAiN play into their hands as the Poles eagerness to rotate and backup a site caused them to either leave a site open for the Chinese to move into or saw them pushing up and dying to waiting TyLoo players.
Karl (also known as wx) ended the half with 20+ on the scoreboard to lead the way.
Second half
TaZ led the charge for the Polish team as they won the pistol and then began a run of their own as terrorists to get 7:0 up and only two rounds behind the Chinese team overall. That was the closest they would get though as TyLoo re-engaged and put on a show of defensive smarts. The catwalk was effectively closed for the Polish team from there onwards as an rushes there seemed to be complete failures. The 8th round saw alex and Karl killing all 5 Polish players to get TyLoo rolling again. This half it was xf who was the man with the magic for the Chinese team and he fitting took down two pushing Polish players at the middle area with spraying headshots to setup the final kill by alex onto kuben which sealed the match.
Being as their group is weak this game effectively decides who will finish 1st and 2nd.
