ImageThe American qualifier runnersup Turmoil defeated Germany's Mouz, who admittedly are not at full strength, in their nuke game.

Following Turmoil 's loss to CMAX.gg their matchup against Mousesports became vitaly important for the survival of their WCG campaign. Facing a Mouz team lacking their in-game leader gob b and having removed newcomer cash the Americans were essentially playing against a German mixteam. The final result seemed to reflect that as despite a close first half the Americans got into a good groove in the second and ran away with the game.

Mousesports 12:18 Turmoil (nuke - 7:8, 5:10)

First half

From the first half one could actually have suggested perhaps Mouz looked like stealing the game. They managed to keep things close, the score at 7:7 at one point, and despite losing the half overall taking 7 rounds on a map like nuke can be very good if your CT game is strong as teams like Ex-Vitriolic and SK have proven time and time again.

Second half

The Germans began well winning the pistol round thanks to a well timed flank ramp by Kapio and Blizzard who were able to get behind the American players who had gone lower. Mouz pushed the score to 4:0, winning a 3rd round which saw Turmoil buy but lose when Ben went lower with the bomb in a 1v2 but was looking ramp while a Mouz player dropped vent behind him and shot him in the back.

At that point the Americans came alive as the 5th round began with cyx attempting to flank the outside push from Turmoil via the T roof ladder area. Once he jumped onto the red rock he was killed by the Turmoil player who was guarding the flank from the spawn. Turmoil successfully hit lower and that win propelled them into a run which wouldn't end until they'd reached 16 rounds. Mouz fell apart, with stand-in Seraphie looking tentative and unsure of when to be aggressive at times. The 10th round saw Turmoil even massacre Mouz without the Germans getting a kill.

Big play from evolution and Ben on Turmoil's T side allowed them to control areas like the CT outside below the ladder.
