fnatic have just won a thrilling game versus wNv Teamwork CN in the groupstages of the World Cyber Games. fnatic is known for having a slow start in the groupstages and speeding up in playoffs, however, this game was perhaps a little too close for comfort for the Swedes currently holding the title of Best Team Of The Year.

For those of you, like many of us, who weren't able to watch the game due to poor streaming and no HLTV (the game was played on stage), here is a little sum up of the game:

fnatic started off very strongly on the first half as Terrorist and played flawlessly, ending the first half 12:03, making it look like an easy game. However, the second half is where wNv put the cards on the table.

fnatic started strong on CT again, however, wNv played their A-game and used steady tactics which worked in their advantage. wNv managed to push the second half score to 0-5, meaning that the total score looked somwhat more challenging, 12-8, but still in fnatic's favor.

After being beaten for five rounds, fnatic were ready for wNv's next move and thus managed to counter their tactics and take it to match point in fnatic's favor, 15-8. However, it doesn't end here. wNv then totally flipped their style and played extremely aggressively to fnatic's surprise, and managed to bring it to 15-13. Fnatic's winning blood started pumping after that round as they weren't going to risk a draw, and they than managed to take the win 16-14.

This makes the game of FireGamers versus wNv Teamwork CN much more important as currently firegamers, wNv and fnatic are all three switching for the top 3 spots of the group. If wNv were to lose against Firegamers, this will take them out of the tournament.
