SK US' slow start continues

ImageSK's American WoW team has continued their poor start by losing their second game in a row.

'Train the shaman' is no longer the default strateg it used to be, as SK Gaming USA's tunnel vision led to a defeat against fnatic wow. The rogue/'lock/shaman team got off to the perfect start and backed up their first map win by going 2-0 into the lead.

SK put themselves back in contention by taking the third map by sticking with their 'nuke the healer' mentality. It almost worked in game four as well, but practically ignoring the other team's DPS meant that Ryan 'Realz' Masterson had to play 2v1. Both healers went down at almost exactly the same time, quickly followed by the rogues of both teams. An epic 1on1 ensued, but as any mage will tell you, beating an affliction warlock 1v1 is almost impossible. The duel went Fnatic's way, as did the match.

SK was able to salvage some pride by winning the fifth map but with a 0-2 record, a closer scoreline will be little consellation.

Next up for the US team is the countercomp specialists, CheckSix . x6 were able to defeat Fnatic in their opening game, making them the favourites for this game. But SK US has been the bogey team for the old eMg squad in the past and this would be a perfect game for Realz and co to get their campaign moving.

Whatever happens in that game, you can find out the result by heading over to SK's coverage page.
