Against HQ.Generation
You would think we are in the 1940s with gangs running from town to town burning the places down, but we're not, we are talking about 2005. HQ from France was taking part in Optihack in Sweden, how could we get any problems with a fairly big event in Sweden, and international participants. We did and heres the story.

You would think we are in the 1940s with gangs running from town to town burning the places down, but we're not, we are talking about 2005. HQ from France was taking part in Optihack in Sweden, how could we get any problems with a fairly big event in Sweden, and international participants. We did and heres the story.
The first problems started in the match between HQ and embrace, as many people know now Optihack had big computer problems with 1 second duration freezes, this is difficult to play in under any circumstances, but with your reputation on the line and also the cost of traveling there you would want it to be even for everyone. The computers HQ were sitting at had already had problems with the previous teams, but after the problems the admins put HQ on those systems.
During the match, HQ suffered with many freezes, but also it became clear someone was changing settings via RCON and had changed the gravity to 2000, one of the embrace players flew up into the air and then landed fast and died, and also someone changed other settings. Obviously this instantly should mean the admin or player involved is removed from the event. It's been mentioned on a few sites that most of the Swedish teams had the rcon for the servers, even players not playing at this time. They may have changed settings as a "Joke".
HQ's next match against smilE was on the PCs they had used before the embrace game, but also had the same admin as before (which had something against HQ), but was asked to change PCs again, after being promised the PCs for the entire night. Bisou managed to speak to an admin and said HQ won't loose a match because of poor PCs again.
The match against EYE passed, HQ then went to sleep, it was about 4am. What is to come next is shocking to people who know the HQ members or even have an ounce of feelings to other gamers, especially ones who travel so far to enter an tournament.
At 8am HQ was woken up by the Police force, and without any questions removed from Optihack venue. HQ didnt understand what was going on until after they were kicked out into the cold at 8am. They had been accused by an admin for taking QPADs, but Optihack or the Police didn't explain this to them clearly. Bisou was asking an admin outside what is going on, and the reply was "if your not happy go back to your own country". This is completely uncalled for, and shouldn't be in anyones vocabulary in 2005.
So HQ were out in the cold at 8am, and their flight was booked for 12pm the following day, so they had to be out in the cold for 28 hours for no reason. Farshid had helped HQ throughout the weekend, and even went out of his way to find HQ on arrival, but he couldn't do anything when all the other admins were there.
Luckily HQ had enough money on them to get a hotel room for the night, money they should not have spent, but due to the discriminative admins at Optihack, they had no choice.
This had ruined a nice weekend for HQ, and hopefully hurt the reputation for Optihack.

After talking with two members from CS.nu they deny any admin kicked them out, this is because Optihack control the area, CS.nu just run the cs tournament, so the admin that kicked HQ out are from Optihackand NOT CS.nu Optihack run the tournament area, and tournament PCs. CS.nu runs the system, the brackets, making all results, the official coverpage and telling people about ip's etc, cs.nu don

Qpad and HQ servers Fr did start to negociate about a partnership, before the optihack begun and were suppose to meet one and each other at the lan in order to sort out what kind of partnership we could realize together.
HQ Servers shows to be one the most serious and popular server provider in France, those incidents that we both deplore are not engaging any responsability from a company or another, the individuals are the one and only responsible of their acts and talks.
Instead of damaging our relation between companies, this events are giving us an opportunity to grow better and better in the support of LAn events and Esport.
Respects from Qpad and HQ to the LAN organisors and the Swedish people that did a great Job in many points at that LAN
Yours
Tazz/Qpad
Notice also that only the two who got caught for shoplifting were thrown out.
I gotta say that Optihack handled this matter well and did the only right thing.
