SK-Gaming overcame a difficult opening match in WC3L by seeing-off Evil Geniuses earlier today. June 'Lyn' Park was the the leading light in SK's first game of the WC3L season. He won two solo games against Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin and helped to win one of the 2v2 games. Those three points were key in the game, leading to a 5-2 overall victory with Du Seop 'WhO' Chang and Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee picking up a point each as well.

EG were weakened by the absence of Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen, which meant that his Danish understudy had to step in. René 'Ciara' Krag was able to take one map away from Who, but it wasn't enough to stop a rampant SK Gaming team.

The American-based team will hope to have their WCG winner back before the next game against sTa Gaming in a game they should win. Up next for SK is against All authority who also started their campaign today. The French team were able to defeat Serious Gaming in a very narrow 4-3 game and will be no easy opposition for SK.
