SK's Halo team has become the third squad to win a tournament this weekend under the SK banner.SK Gaming had a difficult task ahead of them going into the final of Cupseries 2. Having lost in the earlier rounds, they were sent to the lower bracket and had to win two best-of-fives to claim victory. Their opponents, 4 Reasons to Choke Reloaded , on the other hand, had dropped just one map on the way to the final.
But SK hit the ground running, and took the first game (Multi Flag) 5-2. They overran their opponents for the rest of the series, tying up a comfortable-looking 3-0 win. Game two showed a particularly dominant performance, as SK won Team Slayer with a 50-27 score.
A much more closely-fought MF game in set two gave SK the advantage again with a narrow 2-1 win. The battle continues to be tight in the second game, where RtC managed to turn the first set on its head and won the TS game. But SK wouldn't be denied and picked up another 5-2 victory on Multi Flag, putting them at match point. Conor 'CoNz' Lewis and co took their first opportunity to close the game out and won the next map - another MF game - 3-0.
With 6-1 map score, and an overall score of two sets to nil, SK's Halo team followed in the footsteps of the Counter-Strike and Racing teams.
