Chinese players dominate groupstage

ImageThe groupstages of the Warcraft III tournament at IEF have come to an end. The top four players of each group go on through to the playoffs.

The Chinese flag is dominating in Korea as Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng, Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, Xiang 'TH000' Huang and Xuwen 'InFi' Wang find themselves top of their groups and through to the playoffs.

TeD comfortably reach the top of group A after defeating his two Japanese oponents, Toshikazu 'ENZA' Senzaki and 'nemuke' . Group B was a slightly harder group, in it were three amazing players. Fly100% was able to defeat Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang and Silviu 'Nightend' Lazar. Unluckily for NightEnD and Moon, the 3rd game that remains to be played (Moon vs. NightEnD) will make no difference in the groups as Fly100% will remain on top, no matter of the outcome and therefore directly goes through to the playoffs.

Same conclusion for group C as TH000 manages to beat both of his opponents, Nikita 'Nicker' Pomadov and Du Seop 'WhO' Chang with the 3rd, indecisive, match remaining to be played. Group D remains one of the hardest and most interesting groups which joined four of the best players out there. However, surprises were in store as Infi manages to beat superstar Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen , SK's June 'Lyn' Park and home player Deok Man 'SocceR' Youn, which will directly qualify him for the playoffs.

The playoffs, which consists of four Chinese players, is due to start later on this morning around 8:00 CET. In the meanwhile, SK Gaming and the other Counter-Strike teams are due to start playing the groupstage any minute now.
