ImageWCG 2003 gold medallist Zdravko "Insomnia" Georgiev talks to ShadowLeague and his life and his decision to retire.

Ex-SK player and famed Bulgarian WC3 Human player Zdravko 'Insomnia' Georgiev has been interviewed by ShadowLeague. The man who won the gold medal in 2003 at the WCG talks about his poker exploits, the amount of time he is dedicating to WC3 and his group in ShadowLeague.

Asked about whether he has regrets about retiring:

"No, definitely not. I can't say there's a decision from my past that I regret. And I sure hope there wouldn't be one in the future. About the current scene I can only say nice things. It has grown a larger and stronger global community. And I am talking about the general eSport scene, not just the WarCraft3 one in particular. It is only natural for the WarCraft3 scene to be a little less active, than what it used to be two or three years ago, with a next gen. RTS game on the horizon. Trust me, I've seen it happen before with StarCraft1, by the time they were to release WarCraft3 =)

The current eSport scene is a more positive environment for everybody in it and it makes me happy when I think that I was able to do my part."

Why he chose to compete in the ShadowLeague:

"When I understood which other players were to participate I felt somewhat honored to be invited. I also did not want to disappoint the people looking forward to my games, since I like to believe I would have been missed had I decided to decline the invitation."
