WC3L starts next week, adds Goldshire
After a long break, ESL has finally announced the start date of WC3L XVI as well as the addition of a new 2on2 map.

After a long break, ESL has finally announced the start date of WC3L XVI as well as the addition of a new 2on2 map.The 16th WC3L season will begin on October 21, according to a news piece posted today. It has been the better part of five months since the now defunct WICKED eSports claimed victory over Mousesports in last season's final. But with the changes that team leagues have undergone in the past year, fans will be glad to hear that the league starts up in a week's time.
After their changes to the rules and the solo map pool, ESL said that they would make changes to the 2on2 pool as well. That change was also announced today, with Goldshire replacing the old favourite, Avalanche. That leaves the full map list looking like this:
- Gnoll Wood
- Goldshire
- Lost Temple (ROC version)
- Turtle Rock
- Twisted Meadows
No fixture list has yet been released, but ESL assured readers that more information will be announced in the coming days.
