Mouz shocked by k23

ImageMousesports struggled to contain Kazakhstan's k23 in a dust2 game they desparately needed to win.

This Dubai event was supposed to be where Mousesports would reassert themselves as one of the CS world's elite sides. Last year they won the event and then went on to take second at the WEM. This year they found themselves sitting on a 1-0-2 record heading into their game against everyone's favourite underdogs, k23 . k23 once again showed that on dust2 anything can happen when you have the right mix of the bigger name underperforming and the lesser name stepping up their game.

Mousesports 12:18 k23 (dust2 6:9, 6:9)

k23 stormed out to an 8:1 lead before the Germans stopped the bleeding. Mouz then ran off 5 rounds in a row before losing the last, to leave the half score at 9:6 for k23. Had Mouz locked in and begun to play the kind of CS they have in the past? The answer came quickly as they switched over to the terrorist side and proceeded to win only one round before k23 hit 16. Attempting to hit bombsite B over and over Mouz struggled to get any significant penetration against the Kazakhstani team who had solid setups and made the shots they needed to in order to stop bombsites being locked down after the plant.

Playing big for k23 in this game was adreN, his k23 side once again pulling off a big single result against an overdog. k23 may have been sat on 0 wins going into the match but they left with a major scalp.
