fnatic make it, SK go through Vitriolic

Imagefnatic completed their huge comeback to survive in Dubai and SK beat another top contender to remain top of their group.

fnatic were sat on a 2-0-2 record knowing Alternate and WeMade Fox were sitting on 2-1-2 records in second place. A victory against the local side Assasins List would put them through and fnatic completed the easiest leg of their comeback from bottom of the group. SK came into the Vitriolic game knowing a victory would keep them top as well as allow them to show the rest of the field they were gunning for nothing less than a victory here in Dubai with wins over both major contenders Vitriolic and Mouz.

fnatic 26:4 Assassins List (train)

There are many reasons why this fnatic lineup is considered one of the greatest teams in the history of this game and one of the keys is their resiliency. This game might have been easy in comparison to the rest, with fnatic absolutely thrashing the locals, but it is just the icing on the cake of their strenuous comeback which saw them overcome a 0-2 record and turn it into a 3-2 finish.

SK Gaming 17:13 Vitriolic Gaming pl (nuke 8:7, 9:6)

SK are very comfortable on train, especially with this lineup, as everyone saw in Chengdu where their CT sides allowed them to win a number of huge games. This time around it was no different and SK, beginning as CT, after winning the pistol round began to build up their score. At 4:2 the game could have turned to Vitrioic's favour but for the play of face who won a 1v1 against LUq and then was the key component in a 2v2 win the following round to make it 6:2. face's play was huge again as CT on train, as has become the pattern, as he would play the inside site alone on the ramp for the initial part of a number of the rounds, allowing a team-mate to spot outer for the aggressive Vitriolic rushes.

Despite being up by a margin of 7:2 SK were unable to finish the half strong as Vitriolic came charging back, thanks in part to a number of fast outer pushes. With SK only managing to pick up the last round the half ended 8:7 in SK's favour and suddenly the game seemed very much in the balance again.

Having survived SK's CT half Vitriolic looked to lock it down themselves and take this vital game but they began the wrong way losing the pistol round. In the fourth round the Poles managed to win their first round of the half but that was to prove all they would do for a while as SK ran the map all the way up to map point at 7:1. A sole Vitriolic round win delayed the inevitable but it came the very next round as alleN won a 1v2 against two Vitriolic players coming out of the Z hall, with a flash bouncing directly off the face of his model.

Vitriolic managed to take some more rounds and the score ended 17:13 but with SK looking strong when it mattered.
