Cypher proved that he can still dominate while Madix shocked everyone by joining Cypher in the playoffs after a three way tie between him, Chance and Strenx. In the last tournaments Alexei 'Cypher' Yanushevsky has been to he hasn't been able to perform as well has he did a year ago when he dominated the scene. Now might be the time of his return as the number one, as he crushed everyone in his group, not losing a single map.
For the other three players, Kevin 'Strenx' Baeza, Chance 'Chance' Lacina and Michael 'mAdix' Hindersson the group was turning into a real thriller. With Strenx losing his first game against Madix and then against Cypher he was quickly out of the tournament but at the end it would be him deciding who would go through. As it happened Madix lost his game against Chance and now all Chance had to do was beat Strenx in his last game and he would go through, as long as Cypher didn't lose to Madix.
But in his last game Chance faced a Strenx who did not want to leave without a win and got beaten badly, losing 2-0, even though he had several chances to win both maps. At the same time, Madix lost his game against Cypher with crushing numbers, but could still walk away happy as he went through to the playoffs thanks to having won more maps than Chance.
