ImageCounter-Strike legend SpawN and recent SK member zneel join H2k as the Swedish team looks to compete at the WCG in China.

H2k Gaming have announced the players who will replace kHRYSTAL and face in their lineup and they are both high profile ex-SK players. Abdisamad 'SpawN' Mohamed and Jim 'zneel' Andersson will take up the remaining spots for the team who will be attending Norrlan and the upcoming WCG finals in Chengdu, China.

SpawN issued this statement about his return to CS in H2k:

"I have known the H2K guys for a while and played with them before, I know they are very talented and great guys, I have also heard great things about zneel and I am happy to be a stand in for the WCG event. This will be interesting and I am really looking forward to it."

zneel's perspective:

"Joining this new fresh H2k-team feels like a really good challenge for me, and of course, I couldn’t say no to that. The team itself feels like a really good mix of players – everyone with their own type of skill, and that’s what makes this project so interesting. And with the given time I’m sure we will compete at the highest level! I’m really looking forward playing with these guys."

COO of H2k Rudy van der Reest:
"It’s great that there are players outside the organization that wanted to help us since the department of two good players due to individual success instead of team success. Really happy to have Abdisamad on our side to compete at the World Cyber Games 2009. We have spoken a lot and I am really looking forward to his performance.

Jim is a great guy and I know he can show the scene what he is worth!"

SpawN was known early on in his career as a dominating player in matrix but that team suffered a number of LAN failures, including a disasterous combo of the WCG qualifier in 2002 where they went out in the first round and then CPL Oslo a few weeks later where they failed to progress from the group stage. That all changed in 2003 when SpawN had a breakout event at the SEL season 1 finals putting up monsterous numbers against elite teams like 9.esu. From there on it was up the CS ladder as SpawN got the opportunity to be SK's stand-in for the WCG, as the team had element who was Norwegian. When the team won the gold medal and element had school issues for CPL Copenhagen they once again turned to Spawn. Winning the event SpawN established himself as a player good enough to force his way into one of the greatest teams of all time.

From there onwards SpawN added a Dallas CPL win at Winter 2003, a 2nd at Summer 2004 and back-to-back CPL titles in 2005. With NiP in 2006 he was a part of the team's impressive run, including a silver at the WCG. In the latter era of SK his return success was far less as the team went through a dry spell, a victory at SEC in 2007 aside, and he found himself departing the lineup to be replaced by zet. After months of hints and rumours thanks to his promotional work SpawN now looks to have an opportunity to put his stamp on CS again with the team who have been impressive in Swedish CS the last few months thanks to 2nds at the WCG qualifier and IOL4 finals.
