1mbit to be legal right in Finland
The Ministry of Transport and Communications announces the right to a 1mbit/s broadband connection for every Finn in 2010.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications announces the right to a 1mbit/s broadband connection for every Finn in 2010.The Ministry of Transport and Communications has decreed that beginning in July of 2010 every person in Finland will be legally entitled to a 1mbit/s broadband connection. This is a step along the way to already announced plans to make a 100mbit/s connection a legal right by the end of 2015. This also makes Finland the first country to create laws specifically guaranteeing broadband access for its citizens.
