Permanent pet for mages on PTR

ImageAmongst a whole host of spell changes on the PTR right now comes a permanent Water Elemental for mages.

The public test realm has been inundated with spell changes today. But one of the most interesting is surely the alteration to the glyph of Water Elemental. If the change makes it to live servers, it will read "Your Summon Water Elemental now lasts indefinitely, but your Water Elemental can no longer cast Freeze." Definitely not a glyph that PvPers will be taking in a hurry but an interesting way of trying to improve frost's PvE dps.

Elsewhere, druids got a much needed buff to rejuvenation. The class is currently completely unrepresented in the SK100 and an increase in the speed of rejuv ticks should go some way to remedying that.

Another spec that has regularly struggled is shadow priests and they too are getting a bit of an improvement. In a nod to the spec's history as a mana battery, Shadow Word: Pain will now restore 1% of the priest's base mana per tick. Shadow players will also benefit from the new "haste affects DoTs" mentality like warlocks. Warlocks will have a glyph to make Corruption tick faster while priests can pick up a single glyph to speed up SW:P, Devouring Plague and Vampiric Touch.

You can find the complete list of changes at the link below.
