Loda Explains the Fnatic Situation

ImageThere has been some serious confusion about the Fnatic team, considering the contradictory statements released a week ago. However, Loda approaches to clear things up.

On October 5th, Fnatic's management provided a statement that described a contract dispute and even said, "They have indeed left our organization, but things do not lie as simple as that." However, they edited the post the next day to include a statement that claimed that the DotA team was still part of Fnatic. This previous weekend, Fnatic was pitted against the brand-new MYM squad, which won a flawless 2-0 victory over the Fnatic DotA team.

Loda has responded to the situation by releasing a new blog on Dingblog.com, the blog spot founded by ex-Nihilum players. In Loda's blog, he descibes the sponsorship situation and how it affected his team's performance. The main focus of his blog, however, is to describe his future in DotA and what the Fnatic situation will evolve to.

"Anyways... I believe that most of you, or atleast some has read the news/rumours about fnatic becoming Aeon. Our manager Drunken released news on various sites, news that were not true and not fully confirmed. There were discussion about us leaving fnatic and joining AEON (former known as KS.int) since AEON would be able to send us to SMM while fnatic can not. Now the problem lies in that news were released prior to the exchange of sponsor even taking place so fnatic is not happy, and we're not happy. This has affected our urge to play atm, and I do not believe we'll perform any good untill this whole sponsor issue is solved.

The reason to why we want to leave fnatic is not only that they would not send us to SMM, but more that we felt that the management did not take us serious and we were not happy in how things were handled by the management. We talked this through with our manager, and we told him the truth about AEON making an offer to send us to SMM, he said we would talk this through and come up with a decision. Since our oh so sweet ex-manager decided to tell the world of these "talks" this has all escalated into a mess not easy to solve... But I believe that a clear decision will be made during this week. After this I will hopefully be able to confirm if we're going to SMM or not.

Yesterday we had a game vs MYM in Dota-League, this was the deciding game of this season and the winner took home the 1st place. I'm sad to say that we lost, but I have to say that it was a fair result. We were far from our usual standard level, and the ingame communication was a bad aswell. What made me really annoyed was that we were able to loose the first game when we all agreed that we had outpicked them. The movement from our potm, SK and veno was really bad, and MYM were able to completely rape me (Visage) on top lane and even if I was able to farm good rest of the game a 0-6 start is not the best :) I played bad bad bad in both games yesterday and I don't really wanna talk about them... So I will not make a review out of the games like I usually do :P"
