SK's Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee claimed his third ever Zotac cup by defeating Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen by three maps to nil. Despite his impressive performances in previous Zotac events, the Dutchman was unable to build any momentum what so ever as Check played an almost flawless series.

Game one was a mostly typical DoTTs vs raider/walker matchup, with Grubby opting for a Shadowhunter instead of a TC. That choice backfired, however, with Check's units being able to survive much longer without having to worry about Shockwave. The second and third games followed a similar pattern but with the orc player switching to the Tauren Chieftan. But despite the change he had little success. Even with a level five TC in the second game he was unable to capitalise thanks to some excellent micro from Check.
