TeD the orc-killer wins NGL for WE

ImageTed's victory over Lucifron in the grand final means that World Elite take away their second NGL championship after beating MYM.

A back-and-forth grand final ended in victory for the Chinese team in the NGL One finals. World Elite had the psychological advantage of only needing to win one set, having won the upper bracket final yesterday. But it never mattered, as they were able to see-off Meet Your Makers at the first attempted by three maps to two.

WE took the lead early on and never fell behind after that. Game one saw Shenghui 'Future' Li enhance his growing reputation by beating the legendary Sung Sik 'ReminD' Kim on Secret Valley. Future's unusual use of headhunters to counter mass DoTTs worked perfectly and he moved on to face in game two. It was a similar story to when the two players met earlier in the tournament, with the orc player comfortably seeing off Demuslim's tower push.

It was another orc who got MYM back into the game, however, as Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán managed to save his team from an embarrassing all-kill. Not only that, but he even drew the scores level by upsetting Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li on Melting Valley. The Spaniard continued his impressive form after managing an all-kill of his own against Mousesports yesterday. With the score tied at 2-2 and an undead player in his sights, perhaps he was dreaming of another piece of solo glory.

But Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng is no ordinary undead and he managed to show once again why he has the best undead-vs-orc record of any player. The innovation and impressive micro that fans have come to expect from Ted was in evidence as he turned the unfavourable matchup on its head to bring home the title for his team.
