ImageECO.COBRA player aSpx became famous for all the wrong reasons when a video of him apparently cheating at WCG Brazil circulated the CS world. Now it has been officially announced he is banned for six years from Brazilian events.

As previously reported it emerged that Pedro "aSpx" Slatovisk may have cheated at the WCG Brazil qualifier. The ECO.COBRA player, whose team finished 4th-5th, had a video made of his actions with a wallhack showing how they would appear if he were cheating. The topic quickly became a hot one around the Counter-Strike world as people weighed in with their opinions. The official word on the matter has now been reached though and it appears aSpx will be banned for six years from Brazilain competitions, with the potential for reevalution of that ban in three.

WCG Brazil organizer Alessandro "apoka" Marcucci told HLTV.org:

"The player "aSpx" has been suspended from all competitions I will organize for a minimum period of six years, with the sentence due to be reviewed after three years, and from all big qualifiers, events like g3x-cup, Brazil Cup and Allstar Games are also included," Marcucci told TeamPlay.com.br.

As for ECO.COBRA I have decided to apply a minimum sentence to the team, they are suspended for one year, with the review in six-months' time."

A new, longer, video has been released showing footage of aSpx in action.

The group behind it had this to say about themselves:

"#Noobusters @ Quakenet.org is an anti-cheat group determined to make fun of cheaters."
