Patch 3.3, New Instance and LFG Support

ImageBlizzard Entertainment has now just released the first definite preview of the final culmination of Wrath of the Lich King- Icecrown Citadel.

While the PvP aspect of World of Warcraft creates the vast majority of the esports scene, we still pay homage to the PvE side, as well. Today, the creators of World of Warcraft have unveiled new information about the pinnacle of Wrath of the Lich King, which creates the very theme of the expansion pack itself. Icecrown Citadel will begin with a series of five-man dungeons that set the pace for the upcoming 25-man dungeon and the final confrontation with Arthas himself.

The five-man aspect is concocted of three separate dungeons that require the completion of the previous before advancing. As always, there will be a normal and heroic-level of difficulty, thus each portion of the heroic version will have a lockout timer. Also, there will be a portion of the instance that will feature an airship battle.

Most interestingly, however, is that players will be facing off against a five-man-level version of the Lich King and the captains from the Warcraft III campaign. The setup of this line of instances is similar to others with having an NPC assisting the players. Undead Queen Sylvanas Windrunner will be assisting horde players with the motive to take revenge upon Arthas for the events of Warcraft III. Ruler of Theramore Jaina Proudmoore will be leading Alliance players to attempt to save Arthas.

New user interface changes to this patch features extended Looking For Group support that is meant to assist in five-player dungeon questing. This will be very compatible for PUGs and will bring a higher level to the rewards system.
