REAL removed from Vitriolic.no, team to follow

ImageVitriolic have announced that their Norwegian squad is to be removed from the organization following the Kode5 qualifier. Star player REAL will be replaced before then.

Vitriolic will be removing their Norwegian CS team after the upcoming Kode5 qualifier. Before then they will be replacing two of the players in the lineup, including their most famous player Sondre "REAL" Svanevik. Along with REAL Ruben "enoksen" Enoksen is leaving the team, replacing them will be Thomas "Vertigo" Andresen and Tormod "torri" Hetland.

Regarding the REAL move Nordy from the Vitriolic organization explained:

"REAL broke his promise personally with me. No practicing, no motivation, and they changed the roster that lead us thought."

Asked about why the Norwegian team was not removed before the Polish ex-Wicked side was added he answered:

"I had the WICKED team in my pocket for a while. In order to see what will happen in the future we got the Norwegian team, even instead of Finnish astralis"

Regarding the team's removal Felix Morgan, a manager of Vitriolic, issued this statement:

"A few weeks ago we were informed that our Norwegian Counter-Strike squad was intending to change once again, with REAL and enoksen were both intending to quit. This was unacceptable behavious in one of our sponsor's eyes, so we decided to send them to one more event (Kode5 Norwegian qualifiers) and evaluate their position in the org afterwards.

However, upon announcing the addition of ex-Wicked to our organisation, we were informed there would be yet another change. There were conflicting statements made by various members of the team on Catch Gamer, which basically meant all the players were trying to pin the blame on each other for lack of practice, and admitted to trying to deceive the management. This showed a distinct lack of maturity on their part, and did not match the Vitriolic ethos. This was the final straw, and led us to release them with immediate effect, so as to prevent more harm being done to the Vitriolic name.

Up until their removal we had every intention to send them to Kode5, and our position only changed after the final roster changes and inappropriate forum posts. At no point has Nordy lied to anyone involved, and there is no basis for that claim.

We wish them the best of luck in Alchemists, and thank them for their time in Vitriolic."

REAL rose to fame as the young gun for team9 back in 2005 when he helped them win the CPL UK stop of the World Tour and qualify for WEG season 3, where they finished 3rd. After an unsuccessful time in Catch-Gamer which saw him place 4th almost immediately at WEG Masters and then suffer a run of poor tournament placings REAL moved on to cbteam who became MYM.no. Again early results looked highly positive for the man considered Norway's greatest player since XeqtR and element but a 2nd at CPL Winter 2006 was followed by another year of poor placings. The only result of note in the latter part of REAL's career has been a 4th at WCG 2008, re-teaming with MYM team-mate element, but aside from that this stage of the Norwegian's career has been one unbefitting of one who has shown so much promise and talent.
