One of the best-known faces in competitive World of Warcraft announced his retirement today in an interview with Fnatic.com.Nathan 'Kintt' Quinn is one of the longest-standing players in the WoW esports scene but today he announced his retirement. According to the excerpt on Gameriot, Quinn "saw very clearly a lot of the fundamental problems with the game for competitive play at Dallas."
His team's win at the latest MLG event last month drew criticism from some corners about the power of the so-called 'beast cleave' comp. With Kintt himself all but admitting that, it reopens the discussion once again. "The nature of patching and progression can make one player or team go from being champions to being irrelevant," he claimed. Never the less, he was quick to play down any bad feelings: "There are problems yes, but it still works, people still enjoy participating in tournaments for WoW so more power to em."
With regards to his future, Kintt told Fnatic.com that he would be concentrating on his education. "I am back in school full time, and working 40 hours a week as well," he said. Showing good humour, he also found the time to make a joke at his own expense:
Closing things out, the former-Pandemic man admitted that he was looking forward to any news out of the SK EU camp. "I am interested to see how the new SK lineup from EU and Caliph Kalimist's new lineup as well," he said.

"I've changed my major and will now be pursuing a Nutritional Sciences degree. People who know the old Kintt might think that hilarious, but I've lost nearly 100 pounds, largely in part to changes in my diet. Doing a lot of the research in how to make changes in my life really turned me on to the whole area of study, and revealed some direction and passion for me."
Closing things out, the former-Pandemic man admitted that he was looking forward to any news out of the SK EU camp. "I am interested to see how the new SK lineup from EU and Caliph Kalimist's new lineup as well," he said.
