As we announced yesterday, two very talented players joined the team, none other than Frej 'kHRYSTAL' Sjöström and Johan 'face' Klasson. Both are young talented and experienced player with a hunger for wins.

Face, himself, has already played for some of the most prestigious teams such as Begrip, MYM, NiP and more and has won many titles alongside his team. Being a pure aim-head, Face will be bringing new blood and a new playing style in SK Gaming which hopefully will shake up the team and bring in plenty of new victories. The team is today heading out to Chengdu for the Intel Extreme Masters Season 4 Global Challenge, as I spoke to him he seemed excited and heavily ambitious for the future with SK, find out more about Face in this interview.

Past

You've played with many different players in the past, including GeT_RiGhT, so what is it you think that has changed for him that makes him so successful in fnatic on the contrary to when he was in begrip and NiP with you?

Well I think he grew very strong from the time he joined fnatic. The guys who were in fnatic before he joined had a really good routine and I think he really learned a lot from them over the time playing there. As we have seen it was the only thing missing.

In early 2008, there were talks of you possibly joining fnatic. Later on, cArn denied it by saying the team was "full" and fine without you. Do you think they perhaps passed up on a good player and do you think you could have achieved the same results fnatic has so far?

That is really hard for me to say. Of course I can say that I am a good player, but maybe my playing style just wasn't anything that they needed in the team at the time.

You have been around for a long time, and are respected as one of the players with a lot of experience behind him, what has taken you so long to get to SK?

I'm not sure really. I have had my ups and downs. But now I really think I found a balance in my playing style. I'm starting to build up confidence in myself now which I think makes me a better player than before.

How is NiP Face different from the current SK.Face? What has improved for you?

I think I had a good period when I played in NiP a few years ago. And from that time to now it feels like I had a hard time coming back to the same form. But i think i have now. And i also think I can learn a thing or two in SK. Of course I have more experience now than I did in NiP. But compared to allen, robban and walle, I don't have more experience. So I would say that I have motivation to 110% and i really want to achieve something great.

Present

You played in the SuperCup at Gamescom with SK which unfortunately, didn't get very far. They had a new player, zneel, and zet who had missed his flight. Do you think that this deeply affect the general teams play style, and do you believe that you contributed more to the game than perhaps zet could have?

Well of course it affects the teamplay. And I think zet is a great player but when zneel and zet played they had to many "routined" players and they needed some new fraggers to make it a little bit better and also to get the motivation back.

Were you already thinking or talking to the players about perhaps joining SK before the ESL supercup or was the cup the moment that broke the ice and opened the already-SK-players' eyes to your potential in the team?

We hadn't talked about anything of that before I played with them in Germany. So I guess they were satisfied with my performance.

You've joined SK with KHRYSTAL by your side, both replacing zet and zneel, are they big shoes to fill?

It wont be easy. We have to play our A-game every time. But if we can do that, I believe that we can do a really good job.

What do you believe you can bring to the team that other players haven't or might not be able to?

I think I can bring a little bit of a new playing style and new thinking that they didnt have in the last lineup. Every player thinks different from another.
I think SK had the same concept and playing style for too long, and teams just started to read them out. With me and frey (KHRYSTAL) in the team we can shake things up a bit. Which I think is good and what the team needs.

SK has always been thinking heads, compared to fnatic who perhaps shoot first and think later, and you yourself are known for your aiming, is it fair to say you're SK's new f0rest?

Yes they are :) Well maybe we can say that I have a little bit of the same role as him, yes.

You've just started the EM4, however, Robban had been gone for a few days, has this affected your already limited praccing time? what about tuscan? I hear you haven't pracced that map at all, are you just going to lay back and let your aim win the game instead of your tactics?

Yes it has affected us a lot to be honest. We havent really got that much time to pracc at all. So we have to see how it goes. Tuscan is really a good aiming map. So I think every team rely on their aim on that map. And hopefully ours is as good as it should be.

Do you know who will be replacing you in h2k? or who would you like to see replacing you and khrystal and do you think they will be able to reach the potential they had with you in the team?

I really have no idea who will be playing instead of me and frey. But maybe we can see zneel with them, who knows. As for the potential, I don't have a clue. It depends on which players will take our places.

Ive been told to you ask you what has happened in the taxi ride at the WCG qualifier at DreamHack Stockholm, do you mind sharing?

AHHAHAHHaHahahhaHAHAHAHAHA NOOOOOOOOOOO!

I don't think it was anything with somebody special but I think we can leave it at that. You can't believe everything people say. But that's not true!

Finally, I want to know, what is the secret to having Face blonde bed-head hair?

hahah, hmm I don't know if I have a secret behind my hair, haha, so really, i don't know. Wax and spray, nothing special!
